In collaboration with the commune Haderslev in Denmark and the waste sorting company Provas we developed a concept on how to inspire residents to recycle more.

Our solution is based on insights we collected in close communication with the stakeholders themselves. We conducted interviews and card-sorting games to get an impression of the users needs and wishes.

The feeling of community is an important factor for the residents - they value social interaction. Because of this important insight we proposed a 6 step plan to help the community in Haderslev grow. A change in behaviour cannot happen over night - it takes time to grow.

Different stakeholders such as the commune and the waste sorting company are being involved in the different activities to strengthen not only the social connections between the residents but also towards the people behind the recycling mission.
